New Member Forum / Re: Hi All
« on: August 02, 2012, 02:28:03 AM »
Welcome to the (quiet) forum!

I'll be honest: I don't know when I'll get time to start coding One vs All... I know I wanted it done back in January ~ February but I just couldn't get to it...

Right now, I am trying to manage 4 servers at once (I know for some this would be a cinch) and I still need to rewrite quite a few parts of our current plugin.

So my plan for near future is: keep 2 servers modded (move US #1 to VDS I have rented) and 2 stock/vanilla (but add some minor features / create lightweight build).

Brian, I did not forget about your idea and I will do my best to move on with it in the next month (once above is completed).

Site News / New Servers, gameMe, Plugin Overhaul
« on: July 27, 2012, 02:56:31 AM »
We now have 3 servers. Two of which are in USA (NJ and IL) and one is in EU (most popular of three). You can join them by simply clicking on banners above. However, if you wish to know their IPs, here they are:
PwnShop EU (Modded using our plugin) -
PwnShop US@NJ (Modded using our plugin) -
PwnShop US@IL (Stock/Vanilla) -

We may have a new server coming up in Europe (this will put us at 2 servers in states and 2 in Europe) thanks to a friendly gaming community in Italy.

We also moved from HLStatsX to gameME. You can find our stats on URL.

Finally, I am in process of overhauling some parts of our plugin. I don't know when it'll be done but this is mostly for stability/optimization purposes. I will also develop a mini-plugin for the vanilla servers that we run that will only have few features which should not get in the way of vanilla settings.

This goes not only for this suggestion but all others: if you want your suggestion to make it on to our server, go into as much detail as possible. In some cases, there are multiple ways to accomplish a given suggestion while in other cases it maybe impossible.

In this case, idea is not bad but one thing to keep in mind: if weapons are given to player through a plugin, they will be invisible to everyone but the player who received the weapon. HolyShadow does bring a good point about balance though.

Site News / HLStatsX Launched on PwnShop EU!
« on: July 10, 2012, 09:32:17 PM »
I have installed a CE (community edition) of HLStatsX on our PwnShop EU TF2 server! You can view them here!

Unfortunately, this uses my PC as a middleman (to parse actual in-game events) and send them to our site's database.

Seeing how server is located in Europe and I'm located in USA (east coast) there WILL be lag between stats. For that reason, I am thinking of disabling in-game stat notifications (would also reduce number of stat whores).

If you want more dynamic stats, feel free to donate $5 and I will rent for us. Until then, this will have to done.

Admin Applications / Admin Application Template
« on: July 10, 2012, 09:25:35 PM »
We are lacking in administration department so as stands, admin applications are open to all.

If you wish to apply for admin, please copy and paste following into your post and answer all fields.

Steam Id:
In-game Name:
Referrer (admin who referred you):
Admin Experience (does not have to be limited to TF2):
Why should you be given admin?

Please don't give 1 phrase answers for last 2 questions.

Age of 17 or older is preferred. However, that does not mean those under can't be given admin. Every admin application will be evaluated individually.

Those that "pass" per-requisite admin evaluation, will be given lowest level admin to see how they perform. Everything on the server is logged so any abuse will immediately lead to demotion and possible ban (from server, forum or both) depending on severity of abuse. A week or more of inactivity will also lead to demotion.

New admins (or admins who only had admin status for a month or less) who are inactive for 2 weeks or more may have their admin privileges revoked with out prior notice.

Bottom line: we're looking for mature admins who will be active on our servers. Admins found abusing admin commands, acting immature or doing anything out of line will be demoted and may even be banned from all our servers depending on infractions admin committed.

Site News / Re: Download off server reduced!
« on: July 03, 2012, 10:27:47 PM »
Not sure if we're "back" yet but it'd be nice to see our server repopulated.

Also, added third person view mode feature to latest build. Use !tp, !3p, or !thirdperson (alternatively you can bind "tp 1" as console command).

Site News / Download amount on server reduced!
« on: July 02, 2012, 09:32:15 PM »
Been a while since I posted news...

Regardless, I have eliminated 90% of download (22mb~) that's been forced on our server. I've removed the music tracks that's been composed by a friend of mine. I will look into making them stream in background but as it stands music features on our server have been disabled.

Another quick update was made to supporter features. Those with supporter status can now color their name with preset colors. Not a huge addition but still kind of neat.

Unfortunately, there has been no other major changes done to code at this time. I don't know if or when I'll make any (such as adding a new game mode). Plugin will be fixed after TF2 updates to ensure server stability.

Site News / Happy New Year's!
« on: January 01, 2012, 09:14:16 PM »
A bit late but I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year's (though I realize that as of this writing its already January 2nd in Europe).

To expand upon Sir Jolly's thread a bit, I hope that everyone has a healthy, happy and a successful year of 2012.

As for our plugin plans... One vs all is still on my todo list and I really want to get it done by end of February. I apologize for abandoning TF2 for past few months but I have not given up on our server (or plugin) and will continue working on both.

The holiday portion of plugin will be disabled this Friday. I am also thinking about removing a "spawn HHH" prize.

All in all, plugin development is not dead but rather "slowed down..." For time being at least. I'll try to speed things up in upcoming months.

Site News / Merry Christmas

While I realize this maybe a bit late (especially for EU guys), I would still like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Hope all of you have a great time and celebrate this joyous holiday..

In other news, there's mini-presents on our server but they are very limited to preserve whatever balance we have left. They'll be enabled all the way until New Year's.

If you go into more detail I maybe able to code a feature or two that will give out random stuff to everyone at random times (60~120sec delay maybe). Goes w/ out saying that bonuses will be minor and probably won't be as good as diceroll prizes but still better than nothing.

I restored your permissions.

Site News / Downtime
« on: November 18, 2011, 05:52:50 PM »
I would like to apologize to all of our community about the downtime that incurred.

For those that are interested, downtime was caused by our host. It took three weeks for them to restore my account and after they did we still faced data loss. This means that everything we had before is gone.

This was half my fault too; I neglected from making backups hoping that host would have at least some of them done but alas I was wrong. In the end, since the hard drive failed on the server that we were hosted on, the data on it was gone (I was told that no data is recoverable).

All in all, please bear with me while I do what I can do to restore our site. Currently, permissions are preset so once server admins register, I'll grant permissions asap.

Sorry again for the downtime.
